The story
In this painting, the sea represents the unknown — the chances we long to take yet often fear to face. The man mirrors us all, standing between hesitation and courage.
He cannot swim, but he chooses to dive into the deep, knowing he may swallow salt water or lose something along the way. Still, he would rather try than remain safely on the shore.
The whale, this magnificent creature, embodies the opportunity itself: it may lift him back toward the light and he succeeds despite the struggle, or it may let him sink and lose, yet at least he tried.
Thus, “Into the Blue” tells a story of courage — of that moment when we surrender to the unknown, believing that some dreams are worth diving for even when we don’t know how to swim.
